More to See: increasing cataract awareness and action
The More to See campaign is focused on increasing early recognition, diagnosis and treatment of cataract, to help reduce any unnecessary detriment to a person’s quality of life. Cataract is the leading cause of preventable blindness worldwide and is generally age-related. Surgical treatment for a cataract is a common, effective and relatively quick procedure. With appropriate treatment, people with a cataract can regain their vision and continue to live their daily lives as there is always more to see.
The More to See website provides a wealth of cataract information, including an interactive checklist on risk factors and symptoms, insights on cataract surgery, and treatment options.
